MRS. GEORGE REID BURIED AT HERMAN NOVEMBER 21st

Mrs. George Reid, a resident of the Herman and Tekamah area most of her life, died Saturday, November 18th at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. She had been hospitalized about two months. Mrs. Reid was born April 21, 1900 at Tekamah.

On October 29th, 1929, she was married to George Reid and to this union one daughter, Karlene, was born. Karlene is now Mrs. Kenyon Barber.

Following her mother’s death, Mrs. Reid had made a home for her father and a younger brother and sister. She had talented hands and did many beautiful things. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, collecting and storing antiques, gardening and flower growing. One of her greatest pleasures was taking food to the sick, shut-ins, and those in need.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband, George; her daughter, Mrs. Barber; and one grandson. A brother, Frederich Snyder, resides in Omaha. Two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 21st. The Rev. Zack Kleinsasser conducted the service. Burial was made in the Herman Cemetery.
