EVELYN M. REIKOFSKI, 63
Services were Saturday, May 18 at Faith Baptist Church in Wayne for Evelyn Miner Reikofski, 63 of Wakefield and formerly of Fremont who died May 15, 1991 at her Wakefield home. Rev. Neil Heimes officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Evelyn Miner Fuoss Reikofski was born August 19, 1929 on a farm near Dixon. She attended rural schools in Dixon County and moved with her family to a farm northeast of Wayne. She attended District 15 rural school there.
She was a foster mother and cared for 27 foster children. She volunteered with Care Core Thanksgiving dinners for many years and was involved in the Care Core Outreach, which includes a 350-mile area, including Wakefield. She moved to Wakefield about three years ago.
She married Kenneth Reikofski April 18, 1969 in Fremont. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, David Miner of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Dale Miner of Omaha; and Kenneth Reikofski of Fremont; two daughters, Linda Gibbs of Columbus and Theresa Miner of Blair; two brothers, Marvin of Winside and Earl of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three sisters, Esther Test, Alice Thorson and Gayle Henegar, all of Norfolk and nine grandchildren.
