PAUL WALLACE REINERT

Paul W. Reinert, 76 of Tekamah, passed away on Aug. 3rd, 1988, at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska after a lengthy illness.

He was born on Dec. 7th, 1911 at Tekamah to Frank E. and Maud (Lester) Reinert. Mr. Reinert worked for his father in the Standard Station in Tekamah and also worked for R.B. Cutler in the Burt County Surveyor’s Office.

Mr. Reinert was united in marriage to Frances Ellis on July 11, 1941 at Tekamah.

Mr. Reinert was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having attained the rank of Sergeant while serving in the 540th Combat Engineers Batallion in both the European and African Theatres of Operation. He was also a member of the American Legion and a member of Lodge No. 31, A.F. & A.M., both of Tekamah. He had worked as both a City and Rural Mail Carrier for several years prior to his retirement in Dec. of 1974.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Reinert of Tekamah; one son, James P. Reinert of Omaha; one daughter, Jane E. Stokes of Tekamah; four grandchildren; and one brother, Lester P. Reinert of Tekamah. Paul Reinert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank E. Reinert, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, 1988 at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah with Rev. Marion H. Knoell officiating. Interment will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah, where friends may call after 10 a.m. on Thursday.
