HAROLD R. REMBOLD, 80

Services for Harold Rembold, 80 who died April 15, 1996 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Harold Robert Rembold was born May 14, 1915 at Scotland, South Dakota to Jacob and Elizabeth Schmidt Rembold. He spent his early years in Scotland, South Dakota and attended Southern Normal at Springfield, South Dakota. He graduated from Wayne State Teachers College at Wayne, Nebraska.

During his years at Wayne State, he participated in track and basketball. He was honored as an all-conference selection in basketball.

He served in the armed forces during World War II, serving as a captain in the Army. He received the Purple Heart, when he was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge.

He taught and coached in South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska. For the last 21 years, before retiring in 1980, he was employed at Vickers Hydraulic Plant in Omaha.

In 1948, he married Luverne Mae Georgesen at Homer, Nebraska. They moved to Blair in 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene and Alvin Rembold.

He is survived by his wife, Luverne; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Beverly Rembold, Neligh, Nebraska; a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Randall Pellatz, Flagstaff, Arizona; two grandchildren, Abigail and Eric; a sister, Freda Lorenz, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Fern Rembold, Spencer, Iowa and Pearl Rembold, Norcross, Georgia.

Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
