EDWARD RENARD DEAD

Bloomfield, Neb., April 16 - - Edward Renard, president of the Citizens Bank of this city and a resident of this county for many years, died at his home at 7 o’clock this morning. He had been attending to his duties in the bank until Friday, last week, when he was oblidged to go to his home on account of illness. Up to the time of his illness he had been apparently in good health. His death was caused from a complication of diseases. He leaves a wife and three daughters. He was about 60 years of age.

He was a man of vast wealth. Besides owning a great deal of Knox county land, he was president of four banks: the Citizens of this city; the Commercial National of Wausau; the Corn Exchange of Spencer; and the American State of Bristow.

As yet there have been no arrangements made for the funeral. He was an old pioneer of Oakland. - World-Herald.

The Edward Renard referred to in the above clipping, is a Washington county product having been reared to manhood here. He is a brother of Fred Renard of Arlington, and a ………. (The article was cut off here.)

The death of Ed. Renard is announced in a news dispatch from Bloomfield, in another part of this paper. Deceased was raised on a farm in this county, south of Arlington, was a son of Fred Renard Sr. who died at Oakland a year or so ago. The family was quite prominent in this county in the early days. A brother of deceased, Fred Renard Jr., still resides on the old home farm homestead south of Arlington and is one of the large landowners and extensive farmers of the county.
