Cora M. Masters, 92

Former Arlington resident Cora M. Master, 92, of Fremont, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, in the A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Greg Hall officiating. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Ludvigsen Mortuary, and on Thursday morning, one hour prior to services.

Cora M. Masters was born Jan. 28, 1909, in Arlington to William and Anna (Price) Marshall. She attended Arlington schools before moving to Otis, Colo., with her parents when she was nine years old. She graduated from high school in Otis, and moved back with her parents to an Arlington farm.

On June 12, 1930, she married Roy Masters in Omaha. They moved to Sioux City, Iowa, in the early 1930s, where her husband traveled for Roberts Dairy. Later, the couple lived in Wayne and, briefly, in California. The couple moved to Fremont in the early 1960s.

Mrs. Masters was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fremont.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, and special friends including Norma Thayer of Hooper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 1983.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
