Julia M. Lawrence, 89

Former Blair resident Julia M. Lawrence, 89, of Billings, Mont., died Sept. 8, 2010.

A memorial service was held Sept. 13 at the Church of Christ at Alderson in Billings. A private family interment was at the Terrace Gardens Cemetery.

Julia Marie Christensen was born May 4, 1921, in Natoma, Kan., to John and Alpha Christensen.

She grew up and graduated from high school in Osborne, Kan.

On Christmas Day, 1941, she married Gene Adams. They raised their three children in Billings, Mont.

She attended cosmetology school and then worked for several years in that field.

In 1969, she married Floyd Lawrence. They moved to Blair, where Mrs. Lawrence worked for the Blair School District.

She loved to do crafts and make beautiful dried flower arrangements. Above all, she loved the Lord and was an active member of the Church of Christ.

For the past three and a half years, she had been a resident of Tendernest.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Andrea and Keith Noyes, Rick and Rita Adams, all of Billings, and Nancy and Ken Brewster of Lander, Wyo.; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
