Neal M. Paulson, 78

Neal M. Paulson, 78, of Fremont, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

There is no visitation, but the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Leland Foreman of First Baptist Church in Fremont will officiate. The United States flag will be folded and presented by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post 854 and American Legion Post 20.

Neal M. Paulson was born July 17, 1921, to Martin and Maren (Block) Paulson in Orum. He grew up on a farm near Orum.

On Dec, 9, 1944, he married Helen Robinson in Blair.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was then transferred to the U.S. Marines. He served from April 24, 1945 to Oct. 6, 1946 and was stationed in the Pacific Theatre and occupied China. After his discharge, he came to Fremont and owned and operated Paulson TV Repair & Service.

He was a member of the VFW Post 854 of Fremont.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kathy Paulson, Larry and Laura Paulson and Rod Paulson, all of Omaha and Charley and Pam Paulson of Ft, Collins, Colo,; daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Curt Desler of Colon; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
