Wife of Hooper Publisher Died December 22nd

Funeral services were held December 24th for Mrs. Dorothy Payne, wife of Morris Payne long-time publisher of the Hooper Sentinel. Funeral services were held at Redeemer Lutheran Church at Hooper and burial was made at Ashland, Nebraska beside her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Glen Howard who were also long-time Nebraska publishers.

Mrs. Payne and her husband were co-publishers of the Hooper Sentinel until 1973 when it was sold to her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Egan who are now operating the paper.

Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband, Morris, and by three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Graham (Martha) of Winnepeg, Canada; Mrs. Robert Bridges, (Bette), of Lincoln and by Mrs. Mike Egan (Marilyn) of Hooper. There are four grandchildren.
