Randy F. Reyzlik, 48 of Fremont, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at the A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Presbyterian Church in Fremont. Interment will be in Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Ludvigsen Mortuary. A Masonic service will be held at 7:3 p.m. Thursday.

Randy F. Reyzlik was born May 30, 1957, in Oakland to Richard and Rose (Erlewine) Reyzlik. He grew up on the farm between Tekamah and Herman and graduated from Tekamah-Herman High School.

He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., as well as his master’s degree in public administration. He began working for EMCOG (Extra Metropolitan Council of Governments), assisting 20 different municipalities with budget preparation, completing financial statements, conducting utility rate studies, preparation and administrating grants, administering zoning and land use regulations, assisting local government offices with federal and state regulations, all from 1980 to 1983.

In 1983, he began working for the city of Fremont. From 1984 to 1995, he was the assistant for budget and personnel, and director of research and personnel. From 1995 to 2003, he was the director of support services. At the same time, from 1998 to 2003, he was assistant general manager of the Fremont Department of Utilities. In 2003, he became the city administrator.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Fremont Masonic Lodge No. 15 A.F. & A.M. He was twice appointed an Admiral in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska, by Gov. Kay Orr and Gov. Bob Kerry.

On April 4, 1987, he married Sue Smith Stoeber in the same home her grandparents, and parents were married in.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sara and Colby Smith of Ceresco and Ramie Reyzlik of Fremont; a son, Evan Stoeber of Dallas, Texas; parents, Richard and Rose Reyzlik of Herman; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Gail Reyzlik of Herman; nephew, Jake Reyzlik of Herman; a great-nephew; and mother- and father-in-law, Alyce and William Smith of Fremont.
