Paul Masters Died Wednesday

Paul Masters of Blair died Wednesday, January 16th, at age 67, after spending several months at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, because of a severe illness stemming from throat cancer. Paul was born March 28, 1906, in Sarpy County, married Bessie Miller in 1926, and lived in Blair after retiring from farming and working as a mechanic. His wife had died within the last year.

Paul is survived by three daughters and two sons – Mrs. Stan (Betty) Carnes of Blair, Mrs. Roger (Mary) Vogel of Omaha, Miss Ruby Masters of Blair, Robert Masters of Kennard, and John Masters of Blair. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters – Fred Masters of Blair, Roy Masters of Lincoln, Mrs. Sarah Stevens of Omaha, and Mrs. Milvina Hippe of Aurora, Nebraska. There are thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at Emmaus Lutheran Church of Kennard at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19th. Reverend Joseph Myers officiated. Pallbearers were Roy Rosenbaum, Roscoe Anderson, Fred Masters, Jr., Loren Masters, Vernon Thompson, and John Hineline. Campbell Mortuary handled the interment at Kennard Cemetery.

Note: Paul is buried in Kennard in Blk 4 Lot 22 Sp 3.
