Floyd J. Matz – June 18, 1988

Floyd J. Matz age 78 of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on Saturday, June 18, 1988 at Omaha, Nebraska.

He was born on September 14, 1909 at Wisner to Marx and Emma Jensen Matz. He attended school in Wisner, Arlington and graduated from Fremont High School.

Floyd served in the army during World War II. He worked for Railway Express until his retirement in 1965.

Floyd is survived by four sisters: Bernett Monson, Blair, Nebraska; Vivian Rock, Valley, Nebraska; Ruth McVey, Omaha, Nebraska; Mildred Bevelheimer, Elkhorn, Nebraska; and by one brother Gerald Matz of Omaha, Nebraska; also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ethel Finegan and one brother Raymond Matz.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, June 21, 1988 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard, Nebraska with Rev. Norman Lillegard officiating. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
