Services for Anna Matzen, age 85 of Blair who died at Good Shepherd Home February 14, 1993 will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Beyer officiating. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Anna Pauline Hansen was born on May 9, 1907 at Kennard, Nebraska to Niels and Olena Sorensen Matzen. She attended school at Kennard.

She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Kennard American Legion Auxiliary and Blair Order of Eastern Star.

On April 9, 1924, she married August Matzen. They farmed in the Kennard area until retiring to Kennard. He preceded her in death in November, 1980.

She had been a resident of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home since 1979.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Alfred Hansen.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lleanna and Sam Wright, Kennard; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin and Nila Matzen, Blair and Arnold and Pauline Matzen, Kennard; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
