Detleff Schmidt (Blair Courier, 7 March 1894)

Detleff (spelling?) Schmidt, one of the old timers of Washington county, who has long resided in the western part of Cuming City township, died on Wednesday of last week of inflammation of the stomach. He was about fifty years of age and was a cripple, having lost a leg below the knee by accident in the horse power of a threshing machine some years ago. We did not learn further particulars.
