Edward J. Kermeen, 75, of Blair, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, a Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Edward J. Kermeen was born March 16, 1935, in Honey Creek, Iowa, to James and Viola (Schroder) Kermeen. He was a graduate of Neola High School.

On January 9, 1954, he married Janet Cox in Papillion.

Mr. Kermeen worked as a machinist. He enjoyed making wood crafts and attending craft shows. He enjoyed NASCAR races, and traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his children, Jeanine Kermeen of Blair, Mary Jane and Joel Mumm of Omaha, Debra Hobbs of Rogers, Ark., Jim Kermeen and special friend, Donella, of Crescent, Iowa, and Kevin and Mona Kermeen of Blair; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Grant Nihsen of Crescent, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, in February 2010, parents and sister, Arlene.
