Schmidt, Ruth, 89

Funeral services for Ruth Schmidt, age 89, of Fremont Skilled Care Center, who died January 12, 1990 at the Center, are 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating. Burial is in the Blair Cemetery.

Ruth Rebecca Reninger was born on August 21, 1900, at Snyder County, Pennsylvania, to Abraham and Louisa Eyster Reninger. She moved to Hooper, Nebraska at the age of eight. She attended school in rural Hooper, Nebraska.

In 1923, she married Otto Schmidt at Council Bluffs, Iowa. After their marriage, they made their home in Winslow, Nebraska.

Otto preceded her in death in December of 1970.

In 1979, Ruth moved to the Skilled Care Center, in Fremont, and resided there until her death.

Ruth is survived by her two children, Roy D. Schmidt, Omaha, Nebraska; and Betty White of Birmingham, Alabama; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
