Donald L. (Bud) Pearce, 65, a resident of the Thomas Fitzgerald Veteran’s Home in Omaha, died Tuesday, March 15, 1988, after a lengthy illness.

Donald, better known as Bud, was born March 21, 1922, at Elmo, Missouri, to Ralph and Jennie (Hannah) Pearce.

They moved to Blair when he was a year old, and later to Herman, where they farmed.

In 1942, he joined the Army and spent 22 years in the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Darlene Smith.

He is survived by sisters Violet Rouse and Nadene Wulf, by brother-in-law Don Rouse, and by nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Campbell Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 18, 1988.

Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Pastor Dan Hauge will officiate.
