Yvonne L. Pearce, or Vonnie, died Monday morning, December 21, 1987 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair after a brief illness at the age of 59.

Vonnie was born in Floyd County, Iowa, May 26, 1928, to Charles and Edith (Miller) Fritze.

She worked as a cook at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair for a number of years.

Vonnie married Harry R. Pearce on July 30, 1954, in Austin, Minnesota, and to this marriage three children were born.

Vonnie is survived by her husband Harry of Missouri Valley; two sons: Robert of Winfield, Iowa; and Jerry L. of California; five grandchildren; Jennifer, Joshua, Jeremiah, Monica, and Jason; two brothers: Charley Fritz of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Roy Fritze of Nashua, Iowa; five sisters; Frances Bauer of Nashua, Iowa; Arlene Frazee of Bassett, Nadine Wolff of Nashua, Iowa; Delores Ernst of Solon, Iowa, and Roma Springer of Anoke, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held December 24, 1987 at the Methodist Church in Modale, Iowa, with Pastor Milton Geisler officiating.

Interment was in the Branson Cemetery near Loveland, Iowa. Arrangements were made by Hennessey-Van Cleave-Hurley Funeral Home of Missouri Valley.
