Services For Lloyd Mathiesen To Be Wednesday

Services for 65 year old Lloyd Mathiesen will be on Wednesday, August 2. Mr. Mathiesen died on Sunday, July 30th at the Blair Hospital.

The 2 p.m. Wednesday services will be at the First Lutheran Church in Blair with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Burial will be at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Mathiesen was born on May 14, 1913 to Louis and Laura Mathiesen on a farm just a few miles from where he has farmed all of his life north-west of Blair.

Mr. Mathiesen is survived by his wife Violet and sons. The sons are Ervin of Blair and Lyle of Des Moines. There are also seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Merle Ward, Edgar Short, George Isham, Otto Matzen, Ray Ruwe and Don Olson.
