Marilyn Mathiesen Is Buried In Blair

Funeral services were Monday, June 22, at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church for Marilyn Joyce Mathiesen, 42, who died June 19, 1981, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Rev. Kurt Sortland conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Marilyn Joyce Mathiesen was born April 28, 1939, in Blair, to Raymond D. F. and Opal Kuhr Ruwe. A homemaker, she was married to Ervin Mathiesen of rural Blair. He survives.

Other survivors include one son, Kenneth Mathiesen of Blair; and three daughters, Mrs. Don (Pamela) Milan, Herman; Mrs. Marty (Debra) Gieselmann, Blair; and Kimberly Mathiesen, Blair. Her mother, Opal Ruwe, Blair; one brother, David Ruwe, Blair; and three sisters, Mrs. Larry (Lila) Petersen, Arlington; Mrs. Donna Hovendick, Blair; and Mrs. Dean (Carol) Heinssen, Blair, also survive her.

Pallbearers were Robert Beck, Milo Jeppeson, Donald Kahnk, Roland Kahnk, Larry Kuhr, and Steven Kuhr.

Clare Cowing was organist, Chuck Jorgensen was vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
