Lorraine (Hansen) Pearson died June 13, 2000, at her home in Mayhill, N.M., after a long bout with cancer.

Graveside services were held June 15, 2000, at the James Canyon Cemetery at Mayhill. The Rev. Harold Dykstra officiated.

Lorraine Pearson was born March 23, 1924, in Blair to Andrew and Agnetha (Stork) Hansen. She was baptized and later confirmed in 1939 at First Lutheran Church. She graduated from Blair High School in 1941.

She married Howard Pearson of El Paso, Texas, on June 23, 1945 at First Lutheran Church in Blair. She resided in El Paso until retiring to Mayhill.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; a son, Gary Pearson of Mayhill; a daughter, Patti Pearson of Dallas, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew “Butch” and Ruby Hansen of Blair; a sister-in-law, Norma Hansen of Madison, Miss., and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Niles, and two sisters, Lavonne and Faye Rose.
