Former Kennard Man Died Saturday At Tucson, Arizona

Lawrence Albert Matzen, a former Kennard, Nebraska resident, died last Saturday, October 5th at Tucson, Arizona. He was 52 years old.

The deceased was born at Kennard October 25th, 1915 and grew up in that area.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Robbie Anderson of Blair, and Mrs. Neils Christensen of Clearwater, Florida. Four brothers also survive. They are Andrew Matzen, of Blair, Chris Matzen, of St. Helen, Oregon; August Matzen of Mesa, Arizona and William Matzen of Denver.

Services For Lawrence Matzen This Afternoon

Memorial services for Lawrence Matzen, former Kennard resident who died at Tucson, Arizona, October 5h, will be held this afternoon at the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair. Committal will be made in the German Cemetery in the south part of Washington county.

The Rev. Ardon Dorn, of Kennard, will conduct the service. Mr. Matzen, who was 52 years old, was survived by two sisters, Mrs. Robbie Anderson of Blair, and Mrs. Neils Christensen of Clearwater, Florida. Four brothers also survive. They are Andrew Matzen, of Blair, Chris Matzen, of St. Helen, Oregon; August Matzen of Mesa, Arizona and William Matzen of Denver.
