Services were Thursday, April 13 at Reager Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Collins, Colorado for William D. Matzen, of Fort Collins who died April 10, 1989 at a nursing home in that area.

William D. Matzen was born January 3, 1911 at Kennard, Nebraska. He married Erna Marie Sunds November 12, 1930 in Omaha.

He was a farmer and self-employed trucker in the Kennard area. He moved to Fort Collins from Bennington, Nebraska in 1971.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church and the last member of the August Matzen family.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Matzen who died in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Erna M. Matzen of Fort Collins, Colorado; and one granddaughter, Megan M. Matzen, also of Fort Collins.

Memorials may be made to the William Matzen Memorial Fund.

The Reager Funeral Home, 1530 Riverside Dr., Fort Collins, Colorado was in charge of arrangements for the services.
