Lisa M. (Cook) Mauney, 34

Funeral services for Lisa M. (Cook) Mauney, 34, of Sadorus, Ill. were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at Levis Faculty Center in Urbana, Ill., with the Rev. Miley Palmer officiating. Mrs. Mauney died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, in Champaign County, Ill.

Lisa Marie Mauney was born May 26, 1967, in Ames, Iowa, to Kenneth and Diane Cook. She graduated from Sidney (Iowa) High School in 1985, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, in 1989. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in 1991 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

On Aug. 16, 1991, she married Sean Mauney in Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Mrs. Mauney was the Director of Development at the University of Illinois 4-H Foundation since 1992. She served as local president and secretary of P.E.O. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and Phi Beta Kappa at Wyoming.

She is survived by her husband, Sean, mother and father, Dianne Cook of Fremont and Kenneth Cook of Sidney, brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Jewelie Cook of Grand Island, and sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Tom Kunz of Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, and by her grandmother, Meta Giesselmann of Arlington.

Morgan Memorial Home in Savoy, Ill., was in charge of arrangements.
