Dorothy E. Maurer, 89, of Blair, died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Services were scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Dorothy E. Maurer was born April 5, 1910 to Marshall E. and Adaline Tyson in Blair.

A graduate of Blair High School, Dorothy was a lifetime member of the Memorial Community Hospital Corporation and a long-time Sunshine Lady.

She is survived by her son, Marshall Turner of Holiday Island, Arkan.; three grandchildren, Patty Read and husband, Larry Stevenson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Michael E. Turner and wife, Jean of Mesa, Ariz., and Kathy Turner of Methwald, England; four great grandchildren, Jon and Brian Read of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Cassandra Ramsey of Ft. Irwin, Calif., and Michael A. Turner of Mesa, Ariz.; one great-great granddaughter, Thea M. Ramsey of Ft. Irwin, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who died May, 1986; three brothers, Marshall, Willard, and Ty Tyson; and a sister Iva Pfautz.

Memorials are suggested to the Blair Hospital or the Blair High School Foundation.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
