Margaret Jahnel Maraldo, 98, died Sept. 6, 2013, at Lincoln Arbor Manor in Lincoln.
Mrs. Maraldo's ashes will be scattered at a later date.
Margaret Jahnel was born Jan. 29, 1915, to Bill and Greta Jahnel southwest of Blair on her father's farm.
She went to Sunnyside School.
She married Hank Kay, and the couple later divorced.
She moved to Cheyenne, Wyo., and married John Maraldo. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She worked at Union Pacific Railroad.
She lived for many years in Vista, Calif.
She is survived by three nephews: Wallace Petersen, John Fedde and Jim Fedde; and a niece, Joan Petersen Benke.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister Marion Fedde; sisters: Bertha Henrickson and Helen Jahnel Petersen; and one brother Frank Jahnel.
