Services held for Daisie Pedersen

Mrs. Daisie N. Pedersen, age 73, of Route 1, Ames, Nebraska died early Wednesday morning, February 15, at Memorial Annex, Fremont.

Daisie was born September 1, 1910 in Dodge County, grew up on the family farm and graduated from the Hooper High School in 1929.

On November 25, 1931, the former Daisie Rebe was married to Niels Pedersen in the parsonage of the First Lutheran Church of Fremont. They farmed northwest of Fremont. Mr. Pedersen died in 1966, and Daisie remained on the farm until just a few days before her death when she entered the Annex of Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

She was a member of the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church (northwest of Fremont), Dodge County Farmers Union, was chairman of the Maple Township Heart Fund, and had been an active member of the Auxiliary of the Good Shepherd Home of Blair.

She is survived by a son, Duane, of rural Ames; daughters, Mrs. Paul (Eileen) Cash of rural Ames; Mrs. Charles (Coralee) Holtz of rural Ames; Sandra Pedersen of Joliet, Illinois; five grandchildren; brother, Louis Rebbe of Fremont; sisters, Velma Reebe of Fremont; Katherine Rebbe of Fremont.

Visitation was held Thursday evening, February 16, and Friday, February 17, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.

The funeral service was Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church, north-west of Fremont, with the Rev. Robert Schneck. The burial was in the Bluffs Cemetery.

Memorials, in memory of Daisie, may be given to the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Fremont, and the Good Shepherd Home of Blair.

Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, was in charge of the arrangements.
