Services Held at Kennard for Lifetime County Man

Leonard Pedersen, 55 years of age, of Kennard, died Saturday at Memorial Community Hospital.

Services were held today (Monday) at the Kennard Methodist Church the Rev. Kenneth M. Garrison officiating with interment in Kennard Cemetery. Masonic Services will be held at the cemetery with the John S. Bowen Lodge in charge.

Mr. Pedersen is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughter, Mrs. Dale Skoumal (Anne); three grandchildren; brothers, J.P. Pedersen of Phoenix, Arizona, Ted Pedersen of Englewood, Colorado, and Gus Pedersen of Portland, Oregon; sister, Mrs. Camila Biggerstaff of New Castle, Nebraska.

Mr. Pedersen was born June 14, 1906 south of Blair. For many years he worked for the Washington County Road maintenance crew. He has lived in the county his entire life with the exception of a few months spent in Phoenix, Arizona when his health failed.

Pallbearers were Jens Krogh, Frank Evers, Elmer Andreasen, Henry Plugge, John Marshall and Rollo Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Bert Hansen and Alfred S. Nielsen.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Note: Leonard is buried in Block 6 Lot 36 Space 5 in the Kennard Cemetery. Find A Grave # is 26436956.
