Frances K. Biffar, 71, of Blair died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Blair. Inurnment of ashes in the Blair. Cemetery will follow the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Frances K. West was born June 13,1942, in Omaha to Woodrow and Helen (Bohs) West.

She was raised in Blair and attended Blair schools, graduating with the class of 1960.

On November 11, 1960, she married Larry Biffar at First Baptist Church in Blair. They made their home in Blair. She worked at the Blair Clinic for 27 years.

Frances was a member of the Kan Du Club in Blair for many years. She enjoyed working with ceramics, studying her family genealogy and traveling with her husband to go antiquing.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Biffar of Blair; sons Brad Biffar of Blair and Bryce Biffar and fiancée, Lychee, of Omaha; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry “Spud” and Pam West of Blair; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike Bowen of Blair; aunt Velma Bohs; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and nephew Danny West.
