MYRTLE HEDGREN RICHARDS, 92
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at Brewer-Korisko Mortuary in Omaha for Myrtle Marie Richards, 92 of Herman who died at home Aug. 25, 1996.
Myrtle Marie Richards was born March 8, 1904, in Omaha to August and Anna Erickson Hedgren. She was the youngest of three children.
She graduated from South High School and then received her teaching degree from Wayne State College. She later received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
She taught in the Omaha Public Schools for 25 years and retired after teaching at Ashland Park School.
At the age of 88, she moved in with her daughter and her family.
She was married to Albert Arthur Richards. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald Arthur, Sr. and Sue Richards of Greenwood, Ind.; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis M. and Allen R. Trumble of Herman; a granddaughter, Sue A. Trumble of Herman; three grandsons, Donald Arthur Richards, Jr. of Ely, Nev.; Richard S. Trumble of Herman and Daniel August Richards of Greenwood, Ind. and two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Thane.
