Funeral services for Randall Richter, 74, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, were held Thursday, Nov. 1 at Cutler Chapel. Kathy Kasher, VNA Chaplain, officiated. Graveside military rites and interment were at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Richter died Oct. 28, 2001, at Hospice House in Omaha.

Randall R. Richter was born Feb. 8, 1927 to Rolland and Sophie (Miller) Richter in Blair. He was a 1944 graduate of Blair High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was the owner and operator of Richter Storage in Blair, which was founded in 1989. He was a member of American Legion Post 154 and V.F.W. Post 1251, both of Blair.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bart Jones of Council Bluffs; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother John “Jack” Richter of Omaha; sister, Donna Mae Beauchamp of Atlantic, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his companion of 32 years, Ella Mae Beltz, and a brother, Neil Richter.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice House, 7415 Cedar St., Omaha.

Cutler Funeral Home in Council Bluffs was in charge of arrangements.
