Parkview Resident Died Suddenly Early Friday

Leo John Schmitz, a resident of Parkview Manor on south Sixteenth Street, died suddenly early Friday morning, June 4th. The Blair Rescue Squad was called at 6:20 a.m. to take him to Community Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The deceased was born at Paul, Nebraska, November 1, 1906. He was a custodial engineer by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Feer Schmitz and by seven children.

The daughters are: Mrs. Clayton (Betty)Arnold, of Herman; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Larsen, of California; Mrs. Neil (Dorothy) Schroeder of California; Mrs. Peter (JoAnn) Peterson, of Colorado; Mrs. Luke (Theresa) Walker, of Iowa. There are two sons; Anton Schmitz, of California and John Schmitz of Washington.

A brother, Ralph Schmitz, lives in Papillion.

Funeral services are being held today (Monday) at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church with Father Daniel Brick presiding. Burial will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.
