Beverly Osterman

Beverly A. Osterman, 77, of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Arbor Manor Living Center in Fremont.

She was born May 6, 1931, in Arlington to James O. and Charlotte J. (Heuermann) Marshall. She was raised on a farm at Arlington and was a 1948 graduate of Arlington High School. She lived in Norfolk for 10 years and came to Fremont in 1965. She was a bookkeeper for Newkirk Bookkeeping for over 20 years.

She married Roscoe “Buzz” Osterman on Jan. 3, 1954, in Arlington. He died Feb. 20, 2003.

She was a member of Arlington Community Church and its women’s circle. She was a member of Order of Eastern Sat, Sarepta Chapter 48 of Arlington and a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Fremont.

Survivors include: a daughter, Lori Cheshier of Fremont; a son, Randall (and wife, Michelle) Osterman of Omaha, a brother, W.J. “Jim” Marshall of Gordonville, Texas, and three grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington with the Rev. Burt Williams of Arlington Community Church officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to the American Lung Association and Odyssey Hospice of Fremont.
