FLOYD RICKER, 79

Funeral services for Floyd Ricker of rural Blair will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 1990, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Omaha. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Floyd passed away at the Memorial Community Hospital on Sunday, October 28, 1990.

Floyd Ricker was born on September 5, 1911 at Wakita, Oklahoma to George W. Ricker and Nanna Belle McMann. On December 26, 1929, he was united in marriage to Matilda Schram in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

In the spring of 1930 they moved to Oklahoma where he worked for his father, later returning to Ashland, Nebraska where they resided until moving back to Wakita, Oklahoma, where they remained for two years, at which time they moved back to Nebraska. In 1934, he purchased a farm near Gretna where he resided until moving to Herman, Nebraska in 1957, where he farmed until retiring in 1988.

Floyd is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Ricker, Silver City, Iowa; George and Joann Ricker, Blair; Ray and Debra Ricker, Fairfax, South Dakota; Bob and Alice Ricker, Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Ronald Iske, Gretna; Dorothy Hayden and Herb Mittlieder, Omaha; Edmond Cherney, Papillion; sisters-in-law, Lois Ricker, Enid, Oklahoma; Ella Ball, Wichita, Kansas; 41 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Garfield and Bernice Ricker, Perris, California; Ponder and Ethel, Anthony, Kansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Maye and Raymond Cambron, Wakita, Oklahoma; numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife Matilda; daughter Pauline Cherney; two grandchildren, Kenneth Cherney and Jeff Ricker; and by one great-granddaughter, Brian Hayden. Memorials may be directed to Blair Memorial Community Hospital or Herman Rescue Squad.
