JEFFERY RAY RICKER, 25

A mass of Christian burial was held Friday, November 17 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tekamah for Jeffery Ray Ricker, 25 of Tekamah and formerly of Herman who died November 14, 1989 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair from injuries received when a vehicle on which he was working fell upon him.

Rev. John O. McCaslin and Rev. Daniel E. Galas were co-celebrants. Interment was in the Herman Cemetery.

Jeffery Ray Ricker was born September 1, 1964 at Blair, Nebraska to Raymond F. and Bonnie Lynn Vaughn Ricker. He was a self-employed contractor operating under the name of Ricker Roofing. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tekamah.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Matilda Ricker.

Survivors include his fiancée, Deborah I. Crannell and one son, Zachery Tyler Ricker, both of Tekamah; his parents, Ray F. Ricker of Fairfax, South Dakota and Bonnie Ricker of Livermore, Iowa; two sisters, Paula Ricker of Herman and Amy Ricker of Livermore, Iowa; one brother, Mark Ricker of Tekamah; his paternal grandfather, Floyd Ricker of Herman; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Margaret Vaughn of Tekamah; and a host of relatives and friends.

Arrangements were handled by Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
