Former Herman resident, Raymond F. Ricker, 62, of North Platte, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Linden Court in North Platte.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Campbell-Aman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Raymond Floyd Ricker was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Gretna to Floyd Otis and Matilda Catherine (Schram) Ricker. He attended a country school near Gretna and graduated from high school in Herman.

He joined the U.S. Army in January, 1959, and served three years. He was discharged in March, 1962.

Mr. Ricker returned to Herman, where he married Bonnie L. Vaughn. The couple lived in Herman, and had four children. The couple later divorced. Mr. Ricker moved to South Dakota where he worked in the construction industry, and moved to North Platte in December 2001 to be near his daughter.

He was a member of the Lutheran faith, and was a member of the North American Hunting Association.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Roger Meeker of Logan, Iowa, and Amy and Terry Pittman of North Platte; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Mary Ann Ricker of Ankeny, Iowa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine and Ronald Iske of Gretna and Dorothy and Herb Mittlieder of Irvington; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Marilyn Ricker of Council Bluffs, Iowa, George and JoAnn Ricker of Bonesteel, S.D., and Robert and Alice Ricker of Herman; 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeff Ricker, and a sister, Pauline Cherney.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
