Henrietta E. Kuhl, 83, of Blair, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

A celebration of life service was Monday at Country Bible Church in Blair. Private family interment will be at a later time in the Blair Cemetery.

Henrietta Emma Peetz was born June 4, 1930, to Henry and Rose (Hansen) Peetz.

She grew up on a farm near Elkhorn.

On Oct. 25, 1947, she married Emil Kuhl at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn.

She raised nine children on a farm near Blair. In November of 1977, they moved into town.

She cooked at Crowell Home for many years.

She was a member of the McCarthy Extension Club for many years. She attended Country Bible Church. Mrs. Kuhl enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and craft shows with her daughters. She loved polka music and dancing. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Emil Kuhl; children: Beverly Recoy, Linda (Jack) Hinrichsen, Vern (Janet) Kuhl, Irwin (Diane) Kuhl, Brenda (Dave) Stone, Dave (Ann) Kuhl, Rod (Kristi) Kuhl and son-in-law Neal Gaul; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; brother Delmar Peetz; sisters Marie Rieck and Arlene Logeman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son Wayne Kuhl; daughter Barbara Gaul; grandsons Daniel Gaul and Eli Kuhl; brothers Wilfred, Leonard and Marvin Peetz; and sister Eleanor Kuhl.
