Dallas Allen Riggs

Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Riggs brought the body of their little son, Dallas Allen, up from Council Bluffs Friday evening for burial in the Blair cemetery the following day. The little fellow died Thursday morning of quinsy, followed by heart trouble. The funeral was held from the Louis Stricklett home in North Blair at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. Frank Warren, of the Christian church, officiating.

Dallas Allen was born in Council Bluffs July 6th, 1907, and was therefore a little past eight years of age. Besides his parents he leaves two sisters, Dorrence and Abby and two brothers, Fay and Edwin. Mrs. Riggs was formerly Miss Mae Allen, a daughter of D.C. Allen, of this city, a sister of Will and Joe Allen, Mrs. Ed and Mrs. Louis Stricklett and Mrs. Frank Folden. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Folden and Joe Allen came over from Des Moines to attend the funeral.

Mr. Riggs had charge of the machinery in the canning factory here for several years.
