WILLIAM RIHN, WWI VETERAN, BURIED DECEMBER 21

Services were held Tuesday, December 21, 1976, at Salem Lutheran Church, Fontanelle, for William F. Rihn. Reverend Jackson officiated at the service. Interment was at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Offut Air Force Base Military Honors Team was present for the services at the cemetery.

William Rihn was born in Gurley, Nebraska, April 28, 1889 and had lived at Fontanelle for thirty-four years. He died Saturday, December 18, 1976, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, at the age of 87.

A retired farmer, Mr. Rihn was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle; Veterans of World War I, during which war he served in the Army’s fourth cavalry; and a member of the American Legion Post in Hooper.

He is survived by one sister, Emma Rihn, of Alhambra, California, and one brother, Edwin Rihn, of Gurley, Nebraska.

Pall bearers were William Monke, Robert Monke, Don Ringle, John Dick, Curtis Lallman, and Richard Teebken.

Moser Memorial Chapel, in Fremont, had charge of the arrangements for the services.
