Funeral services were Saturday, June 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington for Paul S. Rinas, 78, who died June 6, 1989 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Rev. Dennis Maaske officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery at Arlington.

Paul S. Rinas was born December 15, 1910 at Arlington to Theodore and Minnie Hilgenkamp Rinas. He married Leona Gnuse August 16, 1933 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church near Arlington.

A retired farmer, he lived on the same farm northeast of Arlington all his life until retiring and moving into Arlington in 1977. In addition to farming, he sold Pioneer Seed Corn for 35 years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; and one son, Larry of Arlington. Other survivors include three sisters, Bertha Schmidt, Olga Strehlman, and Ella Rinas, all of Arlington; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers were Brent Rinas, Chad Rinas, Dean Schmidt, Gene Gnuse, Dalvin Scheer, Verdell Gnuse, and Vincent Straub.

Rosalyn Vogt was organist.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
