EMIL RIX

Emil Rix, a brother of Emma and Minnie Rix of Ft. Calhoun, died in Omaha yesterday. He had been a sufferer from heart trouble for many years. He was born in Ft. Calhoun May 23, 1858, and at the age of 21 years located in Omaha, where he worked as a carpenter and in planing mills for 52 years, retiring from active life seven years ago. Besides his sisters he is survived by his wife Bertha, and two sons, Oscar of Chicago, and William of Omaha, and one granddaughter. On June 8, 1937, Mr. Rix and wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Brailey & Dorrance Mortuary with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

#2-EMIL RIX, 80, IS VICTIM OF DEATH

Emil Rix, 80, retired woodworker, Omaha resident 60 years, died Tuesday night at his home in Omaha. He and his wife, Bertha, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in June, 1937, the third generation of the Rix family to observe 50th anniversaries. Mr. Rix was born at Fort Calhoun.

Survivors include Mrs. Rix; two sons, Oscar of Chicago and William of Omaha; and two sisters, Emma and Minnie Rix of Fort Calhoun. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Brailey & Dorrance mortuary in Omaha, interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial park.
