MRS. MARY RIX DIED SATURDAY

Mrs. Mary Rix, 93 years of age, the oldest woman resident of Fort Calhoun, died Saturday at the McBride Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Don Killin officiating with interment in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Mrs. Rix was born July 30, 1868 at Fort Calhoun and has been a life time resident of the community. Her husband, the late Henry Rix, Fort Calhoun businessman, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Ernest and Walter of Fort Calhoun; and Howard of Sacramento, California; brother, Otto Frahm of Blair; granddaughter, Mrs. George Almond (Mary) of Fort riley, Kansas; and great-granddaughter, Mrs. Russel Armstrong (Amy) of Ocean City, California.

The Sievers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
