EARLY-DAY MAN BURIED HERE

Older residents of the community will remember Leland T. Peebles who was a Blair resident forty years ago. Mr. Peebles, who has been a resident of Randolph, Nebraska, was buried in the Blair cemetery Saturday. Graveside rites were held.

The Peebles name will best be remembered for Leland Peebles’ father, who was a veterinarian here for many years. He operated a barn and office on front street just west of the present-day Schmidt Monument works.
