# 1 – from The Pilot, November 20, 1912

Mrs. Lydia Badgerow suffered a second paralytic stroke at about 3 o’clock this morning and her daughter, Mrs. Everett Tyson, with whom she lived, thought she was sleeping. At about 6 o’clock she noticed her mother was still in exactly the same position and then noticed she was unconscious. Death came peacefully at about 10:30. She suffered a first stroke two years ago last August, and had only partially recovered. The funeral will be held at the Tyson residence at 2:30 Friday afternoon.

Miss Lydia Stoner was born in Scarboro, Canada, Jan. 17, 1838, and was married to Mr. Lafayette Badgerow at the same place. Of this union nine children were born, six of whom are living: Martin, Peter F. and Mrs. Everett Tyson, of this county; Mrs. P.J. Crosby and Justin, of Omaha; and Mrs. Ella McDonald, of Stouffersville, Canada. Mr. Badgerow died in 1889, the same year the sons came to this county. She came in 1892 and has made her home in Blair since that time.

The remains of Mr. Badgerow and of three children were brought here from Canada some years ago and buried in the Blair cemetery, and now the body of wife and mother will be laid by their side.
