Robert W. Mayberry, 69, of Tekamah died on Sunday afternoon, March 6, 1988, at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha after a lengthy illness.

He was born on July 17, 1918 at Decatur to Guy and Effie (Crisman) Mayberry.

Bob was united in marriage to Ellen Benson on March 19, 1942, at Neligh.

Bob lived in Burt County for all his life, and he and his wife have lived in the same location for 45 years.

Bob was employed at Tek Seed Company and AgriPro inTekamah for over thirty years.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Mayberry of Tekamah; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Vicki Mayberry of Scribner; four grandchildren; Jim and Jeb, both of Tekamah and Reed and Raegen, both of Scribner; one sister, Helen Morris of Paola, Kansas.

Mr. Mayberry was preceded in death by his parents, one son (John B. Montgomery in August of 1985), three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held March 9, 1988, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah with Rev. David L. Nystrom officiating.

Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.
