Former Washington County resident, Norman Schneekloth, 89, of Seymour, Wis., died Oct. 22, 2008, at Good Shepherd in Seymour.

Funeral services were Oct. 25 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. Interment was in the Parish Cemetery in Seymour.

Norman Schneekloth was born April 25, 1919, in Nebraska to Otto and Cecelia (Wolf) Schneekloth.

On Dec. 20, 1944, he married Helen Warrick in Nebraska.

He worked in Omaha and farmed on the family farm until 1957, when he and his wife moved to Seymour, where they purchased a dairy farm. He retired in 1977.

Mr. Schneekloth was a “snow bird” for 16 years, traveling to Mesa, Aris. He enjoyed driving a tractor, playing cards with many of their good friends, and square-dancing.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen; two daughters, Denise Lemke of Green Bay, Wis., and Doreen Ossmann of Seymour; son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Diane Schneekloth of Seymour; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren; a niece, Bev Rasmussen, and spouse, Ross, of Fremont; and sister-in-law, Maxine Therkelsen of Blair.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Schneekloth, and brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Viola Schneekloth.
