Kenneth A. Maynard, 83

Kenneth A. Maynard, 83, of Blair, died April 15, 2009, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

No services are planned.

Kenneth A. Maynard was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Wahoo to Solon and Clara (Faulke) Maynard. He attended school in Wahoo. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy for three years.

After being discharged from the service, he returned to Wahoo and worked for the railroad and then for Minnegasco from 1948 to 1987.

On May 6, 1950, he married Patty Shrum in Tekamah.

He spent many years working in Tekamah and Blair. Mr. Maynard was a member of the Blair Eagles Club and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jim Henton; Mary and Bob Ladwin, all of Blair; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; sister, Iown Triplett of Wahoo, and brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Esther Maynard of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and one sister.
