Clarice Megrue Dies Thursday In Lincoln

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 23, 1980, 9:30 a.m., at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home for Clarice Opal Megrue, 81, who died Thursday, February 21, in Lincoln. Rev. Dale R. Bolton conducted the services. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Clarice Opal Megrue was born December 18, 1898, in Ord, Nebraska, to Charles and Belle Timmerman Brown. She was married to Floyd M. Megrue and was a homemaker. The couple was living at Rt. 1, Roca, Nebraska, at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd M. Megrue of Roca; and four sons, Gene Megrue of Blair; Billy Megrue, Seattle, Washington; Russell Megrue, Columbus, Georgia; and Floyd Megrue of Lincoln. Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her.

Pallbearers were Gregory Megrue, Daniel Megrue, Douglas Megrue, Jeffrey Megrue, Stephen Megrue, David Segoviano, Mark Thiessen and Dean Oleson.

Memorials may be sent to the Arthritis Foundation or the Bryan Nursing Scholarship Fund.

Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 So. 14th, Lincoln, was in charge of arrangements for the services.
