Mrs. J. C. Robbins, who has been confined to her bed for the past three months, died at her home on Lincoln Street, Saturday, June 4. Elizabeth Yount was born in Miami country, Ohio, September 27, 1842, and came with her parents to Benton county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. She was in the millinery business in Belle Plaine, Iowa, a number of years. On January 8, 1884, she was married to J. C. Robbins and they lived at Shelton, Neb., until about sixteen years ago, when they came to Blair, where they have since resided.

The funeral services were held at the residence Monday, at 9 a.m. and the body was shipped to Belle Plaine, Iowa, for interment. Mr. Robbins, his daughter, Mrs. Olmstead, and granddaughter, Mrs. Chas. Strich of Carroll, Iowa, and W. G Harrison of this city accompanied the remains to their last resting place.

Mrs. J. C. Robbins passed peacefully away at 7:16 last Saturday evening, having been ill since last January. A short service was held at the residence at 9 o’clock Monday morning, conducted by Rev. Lang, and the remains taken to Belle Plaine, Iowa for interment. Mrs. Clara Olmstead of Carroll, Iowa, Mrs. Robins’ daughter, has been helping to care for Mrs. Robbins for the past eleven weeks, and her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Struck, of Carroll, had also been here for several days.

The funeral service was held at the home of Mrs. Geo. Brewer, a sister of Mrs. Robbins, in Belle Plaine, and interment made in the family lot at that place.

Elizabeth Yount was born in Miami County, Ohio, Sept. 26, 1812 and moved with her parents to Benton county Iowa where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Mr. Robbins Jan, 8th 1884 and lived at Shelton, Neb. until about sixteen years ago, when they came to Blair. W. G. Harrison went with the funeral party to Belle Plaine.

After an illness from cancer of the bowels lasting nearly a year, death came to the relief of Mrs. J. C. Robbins at her home in this city last Saturday evening. The remains were shipped to Belle Plains, Iowa, the former home of the deceased, for interment. Mrs. Robbins was born in 1842 and came to this city with her husband about sixteen years ago.
