Uncle Johnny Robbins, as he was familiarly known here, was a prominent figure in the business and political life of Blair for the past twenty-five years, and served several times on the city council and was president of the council for a number of years. In the early 80’s he went to Shelton, Nebr., from Belle Plaine, Iowa and from Shelton he came to Blair and built one of the finest residences in the city at that time, and has since resided here up to a few months ago when he disposed of the place.

His wife died some three years ago and was buried at the old home at Belle Plaine. The funeral of Mr. Robbins was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Struck at Carroll on Thursday, the body being taken to Belle Plaine and laid to rest beside his wife. Rev. Lang, of Blair, conducted the funeral service. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Clara Olmstead, and several grandchildren.
